SILENT SEAL® MEETS MSHA TESTING APPROVALS
NORTON, OHIO – October, 2005 – Fomo Products, Inc. is proud to announce that Silent Seal® mining foam, manufactured at the Fomo headquarters in Norton, Ohio, has been deemed suitable by the Mine Safety and Heath Administration (MSHA) for use by mine operators without wearing a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus or a Supplied Air Breathing Apparatus. MSHA’s recent testing concluded that Fomo’s Silent Seal® mining foam does not create a harmful environment for workers when used with Fomo’s patented Handi-Gun® dispensing unit. Silent Seal® also passed recent MSHA testing for ASTM E-162, a surface flammability test.
Silent Seal® mining foam was developed exclusively for mine applications for quickly and efficiently sealing, insulating, filling, coating and sound dampening many areas above and underground. The high flow rate of the Handi-Gun® dispensing unit allows for increased productivity, accurate metering, flow control and reduced waste. Silent Seal® is self contained and ready for immediate use due to it’s patented packaging system. The high optic yellow color makes visibility easy, particularly for underground application.
